Thanks to all our poets and friends, we started the program right on time at 9:00 and finished it by 12:00.

ENCOURAGEMENT
            
 Besides the will, it is money that is important to do any program. Thanks for Dr. Amer Suleman, Javed Rashid and Javed Samuel Gill and myself for contributing the initial funding.  We actually collected $735 and paid out $850.00 with a deficit of $115.00. We hope someone will make it up.

OUR CULTURE: We have to take pride in our culture, and we have a great culture. Please respect every one’s time and be there on time – Dinner is from 7:30-8:30 PM and the program begins right after that. We will improve in a few more events.
BONUS POETRY:  if you could write a poem on pluralism – that is respecting the otherness of others be it other faiths, culture, cuisine, festivities, politics, nationality, politics, gender etc – where you acknowledge the difference with dignity and respect. You get to recite a bonus poem in the first session in addition to your regular poem.  We need to review the poem before 14th; you can call me or OS Modgil about the guidelines.
